Exploring Project Zero Frameworks through T600 Mini-Projects
Event Details
Please bring your lunch and join students and faculty from T600, Thinking & Learning Today & Tomorrow: Project Zero Perspectives, on Wednesday, December 2, from 12:30pm – 2:00pm for a gallery-style presentation of student mini-projects. The T600 mini-projects are small-scale explorations that aim to put PZ ideas into practice. Here are just a few examples of the kinds of questions students are pursuing in their projects:
- How do we design or redesign learning spaces that foster constructionist learning experiences for all children, with careful consideration for equity and access ?
- How can I use documentation in my after-school music class to deepen students’ understanding of their contribution to our classroom community?
- What kinds of resources ("individuals’ identity formation, relationships with exemplars, and the cultures of our communities") help individuals navigate ethical dilemmas at work?
- How might a story time program in a museum environment help to promote understanding?
- How can instructional designers in the Harvard Catalyst Education Program use thinking routines as a tool to plan courses and reflect on their progress?
After a brief welcome we will invite you to engage with the T600 students and their mini-project posters and to share your feedback. Your comments and suggestions will help inform students' thinking, learning, and final papers—and provide you with new insights into the frameworks we develop here at PZ and their potential applications.
The event will take place in the Project Zero offices on the fourth floor of Longfellow Hall. Please RSVP to Jordy at jordy_oakland@harvard.edu, if you plan to attend. We hope to see you there!
