Meet Your PZers

Ashley Stewart

She/Her
Center for Digital Thriving Fellow

As a Center for Digital Thriving Fellow, Ashley's project will focus on Black youth's racialized experiences with technology.

PZ Work

As a fellow with the Center for Digital Thriving, Ashley will engage 10–12 Black youth ages 14–18 as co-researchers to examine and respond to nearly 20 proposed federal and state policies shaping youth online safety, from social media restriction bills to algorithmic design regulations. Through listening sessions, deliberative discussions, and participatory research, youth will analyze policy language and articulate the values they believe should guide digital governance, building toward a culminating congressional briefing where they present their findings directly to policymakers. Ashley's fellowship year brings together her academic research and policy fluency to create a pathway for youth voices to travel directly into the rooms where their digital futures are being decided.
