Maggie Schein
- Research Director
Maggie Schein is an educational consultant, teacher, and an author of both fiction and non-fiction. She holds a PhD from The University of Chicago's Committee on Social Thought. Her doctoral work, influenced by Neo-Aristotelian Naturalistic Virtue-Ethics, Political Thought, and Educational Theory on human development, focused on how to better understand the virtue of humanity by examining the vices of inhumanity and cruelty. Her experiences in the fields of humanities education (she has been teaching in diverse contexts, ages 6 through adult, for over 20 years), educational psychology and rehabilitation, curricula design and development, and educational testing and evaluation inform her work with HULA.
